Its 30,000-square-foot facility is on Randolph Road and allows children to learn through active and passive play. They can create masterpieces in the workshop, explore in the open play area, or learn a new skill through an enrichment class. The general admission ticket gives you 2.5 hours of play and access to several features, such as the workshop, exhibit, and open turf field. Infants under the age of 1 are free. Also, every Tuesday through Friday the facility offers toddler time from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., which has activities for children under the age of 5. Kids Play Gallery With its location in nearby Gaithersburg on Muddy Branch Road, Kids Play Gallery is an indoor imaginative play space where children can pretend in their miniature town. The themed areas include a fire station, beauty shop, animal hospital, diner, fishing dock, and grocery market. Yearly memberships or daily passes are available, and prices are cheaper after 4 p.m. Monster Mini Golf Located in Gaithersburg on Gaither Road, Monster Mini Golf has plenty of activities to keep your kids entertained. They can start with a round or two of glow-in-the-dark mini golf and then head to the state-of-the-art arcade. You and the kids can play video games such as Down-a-Clown, Big Bass Wheel, and Jurassic Park. Maybe classic games are more your style, so load up to play some Skee Ball or Air Hockey. If you're wanting the kids to burn off some energy, check out the Laser Maze or Laser Tag. They can also try the Virtual Reality attraction, Ropes Course, or Mini Bowling. Fees are based upon which activities you choose, but it does offer a combination deal if you select one round of mini golf, a $10 arcade card, and either the Laser Maze or Mini Bowling. ZavaZone Found on Southlawn Court, ZavaZone is a multi-attraction indoor facility that includes a trampoline park and ropes climbing course for children age 5 years and older. There are 15 attractions housed within the 30,000-square-foot facility, and admission to the facility gives you access to all of the activities. Kids can dunk a ball on the trampoline basketball court, jump on the pole walk while tethered, or participate in a Ninja Warrior Course. Other popular activities include a Warped Wall, Battle Beam, Giant Slide, and Blackout Tower. Don't let the weather dictate your fun, as Rockville offers several indoor areas where your kids can run around and hopefully wear themselves out. If you have younger children, bring them to an area to encourage creative play, while older children might benefit from group activities where they work up a sweat.
